Fat removal involves a procedure known as liposuction or liposculpture. This is a procedure that removes troublesome pockets of fat from localized areas of the body. It is commonly used to re-shape areas such as the thighs, hips, buttocks, knees, abdomen and back but may also be used for the chest area, upper arms, calves and ankles, chin and neck.
It involves removing the fat cells using a steel tube called a cannula under suction.
After the fat removal procedure there is a noticeable difference in the body shape and it’s even more apparent after 6 weeks when the swelling goes down. This continues to improve even more over the next 3 to 6 months when the final shape will be visible.
